The Australia-based worship movement Planetshakers has just released their latest album Rain, recorded at the annual Planetshakers Conference in Melbourne. This album includes the special bonus of a rock version of “Fall On Me.” You can hear the track and watch the video below.
The rock version was the creative endeavor of band members Josh Hunt (guitar/vocal), Josh Ham (bass), and Andy Harrison (drums, Planetshakers Youth Pastor). The sound they create is similar to high-octane rock worship sounds of the 90s and early 2000s, relying on electric guitars to lend energy and urgency to the vertical lyrics.
Planetshakers has become a mainstay in resourcing churches with songs for worshipping. The lead single from their album Rain, “Only Way,” has already surpassed 1.3 million YouTube views. The album carries the added weight of coming from the middle of singer Josh Hunt’s battle with cancer.
You can find the rock version of “Fall On Me” plus more from Planetshakers on Spotify and Apple Music.
