Gold Frankincense & Myrrh (GFM) has released the final installment of a series of music videos from their Oh, The Horror EP. “Can You Promise Me That This Will Never End” is also currently going for adds at radio. You can watch the music video below.
The video finishes the story of the girls’ dystopian escape to freedom. The narrative echoes the yearning found in the lyrics, which look to escape from the chains of our struggles:
“It wasn’t that long ago when I was dying to leave this place
I thought I had it all figured out
but now I’m dying to see your face
Cause I can’t catch my breath
feels like there’s nothing left for me
But I’ve been dying to feel something
I need to know this isn’t pretend
Can you promise me that this will never end?”
“‘Can You Promise Me That This Will Never End’ is a coming to terms story,” the band explains. “It’s about finally achieving that peace of mind and finding eternal hope from the only One who can really sustain us. It’s about accepting your flaws, overcoming your trials, and seeing life through a new perspective. Confidence and strength are an ever-present factor now, and we’re praying that it will never end.”
