Christian R&B Artist Aaron Ray released a music video for his new song “Daylight” featuring Zahna on November 28, 2019. “Daylight” will be featured on Aaron’s upcoming album Lazarus.
Aaron shared on Facebook that a lot of time and energy went into making this music video, including 18 hours of shooting and 12 hours of editing. Wanting viewers to understand some of the symbolism in the video, Aaron writes: “The buried character in the beginning symbolizes us trapped in our sins. For some of us we want to come out of those sins / old life and we are seeking answers. You see the character finds a church on his journey, only to be met with the same coffin. He goes back in the coffin to symbolize us killing ourselves and coming out the water as our new life in CHRIST and hence a new day comes.”
Zahna shared what the song means to her on Facebook as well: “This song was really about holding on to God in the hardest seasons of your life, and being transformed by the Holy Spirit by dying to self. It’s a message Aaron and I really believe in, so we hope you enjoy!”
There are 4 Bible verses written in the video’s description on Youtube (Romans 3:23, Ecclesiastes 7:20, Romans 3:24, and 1 John 1:9) that sum up the Gospel as a beautiful and clear supplement to the message being conveyed in “Daylight.”
