Industry veteran rock band Pillar has been building anticipation on social media leading up to a Christmas gift for fans.
Their social media accounts featured a daily countdown – “3…2…1…” – before the band announced that they are giving a free holiday single to fans at their website, http://www.pillarmusic.com.
“Do You Hear What I Hear” is an interpretation of a seasonal hymn turned into a darker and more dissonant rock tune that is distinctly Pillar.
The band says, “We want to wish you a Merry Christmas and thank you for all your support through the years. This is our gift to you.” An email address is all that is needed to get a free download of the new single.
Since their formation in 1998, Pillar has been a force in the Christian rock industry as they’ve released nine studio albums, won multiple Dove Awards and received a Grammy nomination for The Reckoning in 2008.
