Chicago based independent and faith based rock band Ignescent announced the addition of guitarist Jose Jimenez on social media.
The band also announced the return of drummer Ben Silverman, who replaces Chris Calix. Jimenez replaces departing guitarist Joey Selpulveda. Ignescent is fronted by vocalist Jennifer Benson, who told us the band is excited to get back to live performances this month.
“We are excited to be headlining Rock The Pantry, which is a benefit show for the homeless,” Benson told Rock On Purpose. “The entry fee is a canned good.”
The show will be held at Smokestack Brew in Mishawaka, Indiana with Ignescent headlining, and performing at around 7:15 PM.
Their show will feature two new songs written by Jennifer Benson and bassist Ian Sebastian. Benson told us about the new songs: “They have not been released yet, but they are called ‘Saved Me’ and ‘Exodus.'”
She continued to say that “‘Exodus’ is our first song that has been written on an 8 string guitar, and it’s about what we and the whole world is going through right now.”
Late in 2019, Chicago-based rock band Ignescent released a heavy song called “Demons 777.” They have also released songs like “Into The Night” and “Calling Out To You.”
