HeartSupport, the mental health focused charity founded by Jake Luhrs of August Burns Red, has launched a master class to better equip others to share hope to those who might be hurting.
The master class takes the form of two sessions per month, with each session lasting three hours. They’ll be led by Jake Luhrs and Dave King (HeartSupport’s director of operations), with input from several assistant trainers as well. The class also includes access to a community where students can connect with each other and share ideas and encouragement.
“Our team is impacting the mental health of a generation,” HeartSupport says. “We’ve spent the past decade on the frontlines, helping shape the culture of our nation’s mental health and been named as the ‘one of the top 100 non-profits in social innovation.’ We’ll bring everything we’ve learned to help you do the same.”
You can learn more about the program and register to participate at heartsupport.com/masterclass. Everyone who goes through the class will also be registered to attend next year’s HeartSupport conferenced in April.
“We can create a world where mental suffering is not tolerated, it’s treated; where people are not judged, they’re supported; where people aren’t divided, they’re loved,” HeartSupport concludes. “Your community needs someone like you to rewrite the narrative. Will it be you?“
