Summer days are made for heavy music, mosh pits and headbanging. So a metal thrasher by The Grave Denial is a welcome addition to the summer of 2020.
“Take The Pain” is a driving metal song about reflecting on thoughts, emotions and circumstances that cause pain while recognizing the need for a God is unchanged and able to take the pain away.
Steven Rester’s vocals are delivered powerfully. His range is perfect for the genre: deep and smooth, but controlled enough to blend unclean vocals.
Guitarist Ryan Carver drops a filthy guitar solo about two thirds into the song, at which point the band has demonstrated their ability to add hooky and melodic elements into an otherwise gritty track. Jacob Hannah adds the glue that holds the band together on drums.
“Take The Pain” was produced by 2019 Grizzly Award Producer of the Year Jake Jones. Find “Take The Pain” on Spotify and Apple Music and learn more about The Grave Denial by following them on Facebook and YouTube.
