Ignescent Drops Dark, Dissonant Tune In Time For Halloween

Ignescent Exodus Cover

Chicago-based indie rock band Ignescent has dropped their latest single, and the elements of their latest tune feels like the perfect addition to your Halloween playlist.

“Exodus,” which features Jeremy Valentyne formerly of New Years Day, is full of dissonant chords and a deep balance that brings out the bass to create a dark feeling song.

The screaming on the bridge brings that darkness to a culmination as vocalist Jennifer Benson sings about being freed from what is keeping us caged.

“Exodus” is available for streaming on Spotify and Apple Music.

Ignescent is a rock band founded by Jennifer Benson. Since 2008, the band has been primarily touring throughout the Midwest and Nashville area. Ignescent combines their musical backgrounds to form a harmony that is both musically enjoyable and inspiring. In 2019, the band released “Demons 777” and “Into The Night.”
