Behold The Beloved Releases “Clenched Fists”

Behold the Beloved

Behold The Beloved has released a new single title “Clenched Fists.” They have also released an accompanying music video.

“Clenched Fists” is a song sung from the tension just before the moment of full surrender. The song’s gritty guitar riffs juxtaposed with singer Sean Green’s powerfully delivered melodies capture that moment on the edge.

“From beginning to end this song speaks on complete surrender. Surrendering all your past mistakes, as well as surrendering control of your life to Jesus. We wanted the song in the verses to progress as the song goes on,” the band explains. “We wanted lyrics in the verses that connects with the listener on real life struggles. Not just struggling with sin but living for ourselves and trying to accomplish that without Jesus. We wanted to show that everyone battles with life in their own way, and it doesn’t get fixed overnight.”

Behold The Beloved concludes, “The chorus was a no brainer for us. After the progression of all the verses, we needed a chorus that was literally an overcoming, surrendering cry to God. A commitment of surrender that we are ready to release the grip on our own lives and hand it over to Him. These lyric lines, ‘Open these cold clenched fists. Bring me to the end of myself,’ is our cry to God saying ‘I’m done. I can’t do this on my own, this heart is yours.'”
