Gold Frankincense and Myrrh (GFM) has been busy releasing music, touring with Fozzy and getting fans excited for their debut on Rockfest Records. Framing My Perception is set to release on May 27, and they have dropped three singles from the album— most recently, “The Enemy.”
This tune is a fusion of metal and rap. Guitarist Maggie English continues to show her growth as an unclean vocalist in this song while bassist and clean vocalist CJ English provides balance on the chorus and even more contrast on a reflective bridge.
Earlier this month, the band of sisters also released “Honest Abe.” To use an adjective the band would appreciate: this song slaps. Lulu English (drummer) drives the energy and brings the heavy as she skillfully delivers emphatic rhythms.
In April, the beautycore band dropped the title track from the EP, “Framing My Perception.” They delivered a vivid concept video for that tune earlier in May. The video tells a story of what it is like to go through depression and dark thoughts, tempted by substance abuse, while resolving with a reframe and looking at life from a different, more positive perspective.
