The Sacrament of Hope: A Conversation with Remedy Drive’s David Zach

Remedy Drive The Sacrament of Hope

For David Zach of Remedy Drive, darkness is not a stranger. For seven years, he has transformed the work of his band to align with the work of justice– specifically, the work of freeing enslaved individuals around the world in partnership with The Exodus Road. Imago Amor is the third album centered on telling the stories he's encountered along the way. The songs capture a defiant hope that resonates both in the work of justice, and in the work of being human and whole in a broken, breaking world. I had the opportunity to catch up with David about what it means to be made in the image of love, how he's navigated the past year of human history, and what it means to practice hope as a sacrament.

Reclaim the Day Is Sentenced to Life

Reclaim the Day

Reclaim the Day is a key voice in the new class of faith-based rock and roll. Their song "Who You Are" introduced the band to the world, showcasing a passionate and dramatic rock sound reminiscent of Skillet and Evanescence. 2021 has kicked off with the band's follow-up single, "Sentenced to Life." The band's mission is driven by the power of their own personal experiences with depression, anxiety, and grief, every lyric screaming with the force of the hope they've found. On behalf of Rock On Purpose, Matt Sassano caught up with the band on their new single and what lies ahead.
