Skillet is preparing for a busy 2019, which will begin with Ledger on Winter Jam and a Spring tour for Skillet with Breaking Benjamin (also featuring John Cooper’s side project Fight the Fury). The year also promises to hold a new album.
The band shared pictures on Instagram from the studio this week. In one of their stories, they hinted that one song had a “Comatose vibe” to it. This will be Skillet’s tenth studio project and is expected to drop sometime before the end of 2019.
In another milestone announcement, the band shared this week that their 2016 album Unleashed has reached RIAA Gold status, selling over 500,000 units. 2013 single “Not Gonna Die” also just reached Gold certification. This follows Platinum album Comatose (2006), Double Platinum Awake (2009) and Gold Rise (2013).
