On December 7, The Recording Academy announced nominees for the 61st Grammy Awards, which are scheduled for February 10, 2019.

Nominees include alternative rock sensations Twenty One Pilots in the category of Best Rock Song for their song “Jumpsuit.” The single, which appears on their latest album Trench, ascended to the top spot on the US Rock Charts in August.

Heavy metal act Underoath also received a nod from the Academy for their song “On My Teeth” in the category of Best Metal Performance for new vocal or instrumental solo, duo/group or collaborative metal recordings. That rocker is available on their 2018 LP Erase Me.

Visit the official website of The Recording Academy Grammy Awards for a complete list of rock nominations, a list which also includes Bring Me the Horizon and Fall Out Boy.
