Random Hero Releases Lead Single From ‘Tension’

Random Hero has released “Tension,” the lead single from the album of the same name. The album is also now available for preorder via Rockfest Records, Apple Music, or Amazon.

“It’s OK to be in tension. It’s OK to live in it a little bit. God is going to work it out if you surrender it to Him,” bassist Rob McDonough shares about the song’s meaning.

“Tension is something that’s so universal within everybody,” lead singer Aaron Watkins adds. “How you feel it and how you deal with it is up to you. But how we chose to feel it and deal with it was to surrender and truly allow God to work on a higher level than what we ever could have done on our own.”

The song and the album mark a new chapter for Random Hero, the first album written without core founding member Joshua Bertrand, who stepped down following a severe wrist injury. Random Hero worked closely with Kellen McGregor (Memphis May Fire) to forge a new sound for a new season. “Tension” is a song full of musical angst built by Patrick Madsen’s driving beat and Rob’s bass line, with Aaron Watkins displaying a texture and tone that delves into new vocal territory.

Find “Tension” on Apple Music and Spotify. Make sure you’re following Random Hero on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter.
