The Birdsongs Release Single ‘Reality’ Ahead of New Album

Christian pop rock band The Birdsongs have released new single “Reality,” a precursor to their full length album The Journey: Act II; The War on September 6.

“Reality” is going for adds at radio right now, and launched alongside a lyric video. Watch the video below, and find all preorder options for The Journey at smarturl.it/BirdsongJourneyActII.

The song itself harkens back to an uncomplicated, passionate pop rock sound that reminds of bands like Wavorly or High Flight Society. It centers on a smooth melody and soaring vocals from singer Benjamin Birdsong. The lyrics are an honest profession of personal faith, offered while admitting to doubts: “There was a time when I was the skeptical one / maybe this struggle is so I can identify / with the ones thinking of ending their life (don’t, dont’).” The bridge anchors the song on the confession of the Apostle Paul from 2 Corinthians 12, repeating Christ’s declaration “my grace is sufficient for you, my power is made perfect in weakness.”

The Birdsongs are a family band, a group of four siblings who have been playing music together their whole lives. The band aims to write songs centered on the core of their personal faith in the Gospel of Jesus. You can find out more about them by visiting them on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter.
