One of the most recognizable voices of 1990s Christian rock was Audio Adrenaline’s singer Mark Stuart. “I was a rock star,” he says in opening a video trailer for his new inspirational book.
“For 15 years our platform was bigger than I’d ever dreamed. But then I lost it all,” the video continues. Stuart developed incurable vocal cord damage related to a disease called spasmodic dysphonia, endured tumultuous personal challenges in his marriage and professional difficulties with his ministry in Haiti through Hands and Feet.
Now, Stuart tells all in his new book called Losing My Voice to Find It – How A Rock Start Discovered His Greatest Purpose. “This is my story of how I lost my voice to find it.”
During Mark Stuart’s tenure with the band, Audio Adrenaline experienced chart-topping success as one of the premier rock acts in Christian music in the 1990s, with songs like “Big House,” “Some Kind of Zombie,” and “Ocean Floor” and albums like Bloom and Underdog. The band won multiple Grammy awards, and their song “Clap Your Hands” was featured on ESPN.
