Sports and music often intersect, particularly where motivational and upbeat tracks are involved. The rock community has always been included in sound bytes, featured on pregame shows, and used throughout games. So it comes as no surprise that a song called “Warrior,” with a theme of never backing down from a fierce battle, is a featured single as part of the New York Knicks broadcast on February 21 against the Indiana Pacers.
According to a video post on her official Facebook page the song, which features John Cooper of Skillet, can be heard during the Knicks broadcast on MSG Networks and MSG Go.
Ledger is coming off the release of her latest single, “My Arms,” and is currently on tour opening for Skillet, with whom she continues to play drums and lend vocals. Last year, she was one of the featured acts on Winter Jam, released “Completely,” and was also a guest vocalist on TobyMac’s album The St. Nemele Collab Sessions for his song “The Elements.” The two performed the song live at The Gospel Music Association Dove Awards in October 2019.
