Switchfoot has released a new song, “You Found Me,” in conjunction with the upcoming movie release Unbroken: Path to Redemption.
“Even though we’ve been home on hiatus since last November, we just couldn’t say no,” the band shared in an email to their fans. “The film chronicles the story of one of our heroes, Louis Zamperini. Louis was an olympian, WWII POW, and lived a life of hope, strength, and transformation. So we wrote a song inspired by his life.” You can watch the music video for the song below.
Fans have responded enthusiastically to the unexpected track in middle of the Switchfoot drought. The band is encouraging their listeners to go see the movie in theaters on September 14 (find theaters here).
