Metal band August Burns Red announced the official release date of their upcoming album after days of teasing fans on social media.
“You’re dead wrong if you thought we’d go soft,” the band said in a post on Facebook. Guardians will be the 8th studio release from the Pennsylvania natives since forming in 2003. The album will be available on April 3 from Fearless Records.
The first single from Guardians, “Defender,” is streaming everywhere. A comic book inspired video was released to go along with the hard-hitting banger.
August Burns Red was formed in 2003 by original and longtime members JB Brubaker, Brent Rambler, and Matt Greiner. They were joined in 2006 by now lead vocalist Jake Luhrs and bassist Dustin Davidson. In 2019, the band celebrated the 10th anniversary of Constellations by touring with Silent Planet.
