Kutless Working On New Project With Producer Josiah Prince

Fans of early Kutless will be excited to learn that the band is working on new music, saying it will be heavier than 2006 release Hearts of the Innoncent.

In a recent post on social media, the band said that “James Mead and producer Josiah Prince finally got started on the new Kutless album yesterday! We are planning on this project being an EP (approximately 6 songs), and it is going to be very heavy.”

The work on the new album was originally supposed to begin earlier, but “this year has been kind of crazy, for all of us,” the band said. “Originally, they were hoping to get started around mid-March. Then James broke his ankle in January and has been recovering since then, unable to travel or even walk, then this whole Covid19 thing happened.”

Kutless burst onto the scene in the early 2000s as a hybrid rock/worship band opening for Audio Adrenaline on their first tour in 2003. They have released multiple worship projects, but working with former Disciple member Josiah Prince indicates a shift to their roots.

Their most recent album, Alpha / Omega, was released in 2017 on BEC Records and featured songs that fused worship and rock elements into a 10-song package.

Keep up with developments on the upcoming Kutless project by following them on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter.
