To Write Love On Her Arms (TWLOHA) has announced their yearly campaign for September’s National Suicide Prevention Week and World Suicide Prevention Day. This year’s theme is “Worth Living For,” based on a piece by spoken word artist Levi the Poet. You can learn more about the campaign at worthlivingfor.com.
“I am thrilled to be working with To Write Love On Her Arms. again this year for their annual World Suicide Prevention Day Campaign. This year’s theme is ‘Worth Living For,’ inspired by my poem (and soon to be released book) ‘It’s All Worth Living For,'” Levi shared. “Today I’m living for the joy that it is to be able to participate in such important, hope-infused work with an organization that has been a miracle to me and my family throughout the past nine-plus years since we lost my dad to suicide in 2011. It goes without saying that the gift TWLOHA and the team there has been to us is beyond words, and I know that’s the case for many of you, as well.”
You can listen to the poem performed in the video below.
With the campaign, participants are invited to share their own list of what is worth living for, as TWLOHA founder Jamie Tworkowski did in his blog post for the event. Conversation starting merchandise and cards are also available at worthlivingfor.com.
