Former Audio Adrenaline Guitarist Releases Cover Of Russ Taff Classic

Barry Blair

Barry Blair, founding member and guitarist of Audio Adrenaline, released a hard rock cover of a Russ Taff and Charlie Peacock classic. “Down in the Lowlands” is a fresh take on a song that was covered in 2006 by his former band.

This new version features vocals by Thomas Smith of Strength Betrayed. “I was introduced to the music of Russ Taff during my college years with his self titled album and I became an instant fan,” said Blair in a post on Facebook. “Based on the 69th Psalm, the song is a cry out to God for salvation from a seemingly hopeless circumstance…few months ago that the thought occurred to me that it would be a great rock song.”

“Down in the Lowlands” is available on Spotify and Apple Music.

Barry Blair departed Audio Adrenaline after their 1996 album Bloom became a success in order to focus on becoming a music producer. He has released solo music, adding his guitar riffs to songs like “Reckless Love.”
