Spoken, the veteran hard rock band helmed by vocalist Matt Baird, is inviting fans to help support the mission and ministry of the band through a recently launched GoFundMe campaign.
This opportunity is different than previous fundraisers, according to Baird. In a video message on the GoFundMe page, he says, “Sometimes the stories you share may become an inspiration for a song. We’re talking to multiple record labels about putting out the next Spoken record. This campaign is not for a full album right away.”
The goal is to have a list of 20 to 25 songs to choose from for the upcoming record, with the money raised in this campaign supporting the cost of recording.
“Each person that donates will get a new song sent out via the updates, along with an exclusive poster with your name on it, as a thanks, when the campaign is complete,” according to the site.
Spoken released their latest album, IX, in September 2017, and have been touring extensively in support of that record since. They were included as one of the acts on the City Rockfest Tour in 2018.
